My name is Fonnie, I was born and raised in Thailand and grew up from a family that love to cook Thai foods. My parents opened a Thai restaurant when i was young and I learned recipes and secret’s from them. My mother said that each family have each own secret’s on how to cook Thai foods, depending on each liking to mix and add for each own recipe’s.

In 1995, My brother Tim opened a Thai cooking school as the first one in Chiang Mai, called Thai Kitchen Cookery Centre, to be well recognized by travelers and contacted by travel journals in many countries. So, I had an opportunity to help him at his Thai cooking school. Later I got married and went to live in Switzerland. There i became a chef in 3 Thai restaurants: CháChá, a restaurant-chain of Migros in Zug, Chada in Zug, and Imperial Thai in Baar. From working in these 3 restaurants, I got a lot more experience and I had an idea to open a Thai cooking school for foreigners in Thailand because I had to go back to take care of my family.

So, my husband decided to return to Thailand to open a Thai cooking school named Siam Garden Cooking School. In this school, we run as a family business. We focus on Thai being and naturalness by planting vegetables, fruits, herbs and spices at our own garden so that our customers, who come to study with us, will be comfortable with the atmosphere that is pleasant and full with various trees. We also have an experienced team with a curriculum that is easy to understand, learn fast and can be used in everyday life.

Now we are ready to share our experiences and secret’s on cooking Thai foods to you. We look forward to sharing our experiences and Knowledge to you. And you? Are you ready to come to learn with us?
